178 nieuw genoteerde nummers. Veel recente nummers, het gevolg van de vrije keuzes die Radio 2 nu meer toestaat, waardoor enige verjonging ontstaat.
Diverse nummers staan nog in de Top 40. Ook recente nummers die de Top 40 niet eens haalden (Bruce Springsteen, Mumford & Sons, Keane).
Gevolg van het ontbreken van een drempel van bv. min. 1 jaar oud. Veel van die nummers zullen volgend jaar weer een stuk lager staan.
Risico van deze vrije keuzes is ook dat hierdoor fanclubs en groepjes particulieren massaal op een nummer stemmen dat er niet in thuis hoort.
Dat Claudia de Breij, Michael Kiwanuka en The New Shining nieuw in de lijst binnen komen slaat natuurlijk nergens op, 99% van de Nederlandse bevolking kent die liedjes niet eens.
The Rolling Stones keerde met 5 nummers die vorig jaar verdwenen weer terug.
Verder komt De Dijk met 4 nieuwe nummers binnen.
Opvallend dat Beyonce met Halo (hoog in andere lijsten) binnenkomt, maar dat Pink en Rihanna als recente topartiesten (nog) ontbreken.
